Welcome to The Fairfield Garden Guest House The Fairfield Garden Guest House is one of Lakeland's original country houses built nearly 200 years ago and now provides a contemporary B&B with an 'AA 4 Gold Stars accolade, together with a 'AA Highly Commended with Good Breakfast' award. Tony and Liz Blaney offer their guests a high standard of personal service with genuine hospitality in a homely atmosphere. The half-acre of secluded garden gives a perfect sense of peace and tranquillity and in the early summer boasts the beautiful scent and colour of camellia, azalea, rhododendron, and a magnificent wisteria.
Around the turn of the last century, the house was owned by the Garnet family of which Annie was a famous watercolourist as well as a spinner and weaver for the London market of the time. The interior is decorated to match the style of that period and has been tastefully adapted to a guesthouse with a homely feel.
Please note that pets are welcome in certain of the ground floor rooms, please ring and ask for details.
